Wade ready to take Manley Mantle.

boo.jpg

James Wade almost requested he should be the next Peter Manley, as the player the crowd should Boo.

After his brilliant match with Ronnie Baxter at the MEM Arena in Manchester, Wade stated in his interview with Sky Sports "If they want to Boo me, I don't care" this was in reply to the audience who where quite clearly Baxter fans, (who is rergarded the local player in Lancashire), who did boo Wade many times throughout the match.

I can understand his frustration at being treated in this way, he was trying to get off the bottom of the league table, and his darts where of the highest standard, both players averaging over 100 per throw, ten maximums thrown between them, and 64 scores over 100, it doesn't come much better than that, and a standing ovation for both players would have been more befiting.

But darts is very much a like, dislike, sport, players do have their army of supporters, and they do take sides, Wade was subject to a show of appreciation for Baxter, rather than a dislike for his ability to play at an high standard.
