The final of the Unicorn ladies World championship took place after the semi-finals of the mens championship at the Winter Gardens Blackpool last night. Stacy Bomberg and Tricia Wright had battled through the field of qualifyers over the last few months to reach the final, they took to the stage in front of 3000 spectators to play for the £10,000 first prize, the biggest in Ladies darts. The match was the first to 6 legs, and Tricia did not waste any time reaching 5 legs, with Bomberg back on 3, but the fighting spirit that has seen Stacy win multi titles accross the world became evident as she pulled back to 5-5. In the deciding leg it was Tricia who arrived at the double first, but 4 missed darts at the target gave Stacy the chance she greatfully accepted. Both players will now be handed PDC pro-tour cards for the 2011 season.
